Welcome to Devil’s Advocacy 2.0.

The original site (archived here in its original glory) began in 2004.   Unfortunately, we went dark just about three years ago, after a weekly column in the now-quaint world of print news stole all of DA’s thoughtful prose.  Now, DA’s benefactor paper has gone dark itself; it seemed the right time to turn the lights back on at devilsadvocacy.com

Our 1.0 readers will notice a few cosmetic changes and technological upgrades since last we penned here.  We’ve also enabled our readers to give us feedback through comments – a feature that da1.0 lacked.  Just in case you’re dying to comment on five-year-old news, we’ve retroactively enabled comments on our 1.0 entries, imported here below.

There’ll be no attempt to play catch-up on all the good material DA has missed over the past three years, or even the past three days.
